This program is very important to our community here in Aransas County. They help a large part of the elderly patients we serve in this community. Not only serving meals but giving seniors a place to come socialize with each other, they check on them while delivering meals to them and sometimes this group is the only people that some of the seniors see regularly and think of them as family. Let’s show our support as a community to raise funds or donate to this amazing program for our seniors. Support Our Seniors!

🚔 Rockport Beach Post-Fireworks Traffic Plan 🎆

Approximately 30 minutes prior to the Fourth of July fireworks show, the Rockport Police Department will implement a traffic control plan to help safely and efficiently clear vehicles from the Rockport Beach and Rockport harbor area.

The included graphic gives an overview of the plan. Important to note:
🚦 Both lanes of the beach road will be used to exit.
🚦 The right lane will be directed to turn right onto Laurel Street and then directed to turn right (North) at Highway 35.
🚦 The left lane will be directed to continue straight to Austin Street and then directed to turn left (South) on Austin Street.

To help keep everyone safe:
🚦 Follow the directions of police officers and all posted signs.
🚧 Do not drive around barricades.
📵 Eliminate distractions, stay alert, and watch for pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency personnel.
🚗 Drive cautiously and be courteous to other motorists.

We are selling raffle Tickets for the Coastal Bend Regional Advisory Council, Trauma Service Area U. The proceeds go to support the Whole Blood Project which allows EMS to administer blood in the field that assists EMS to intervene sooner, stabilize patients faster and improve patients chances of survival prior to getting to the hospital. Since December in Aransas County alone we have had great success with patient outcomes. This raffle helps support our efforts. If you’re interested in buying some raffle tickets please reach out. $20 each and they have some great raffle prizes.

Lots of miles on the road the last few days. Chief has been handing out the Phoenix Awards for those calls selected by Dr. Everitt, our Medical Director. Congratulations to those crews that have already received theirs and I have about 10 more to pass out when those come back on shift.
