Congratulations to FF/EMT Morgan Williamson and FF/EMT Robert Amato on graduating from the Mercyhealth Paramedic Program! Over the past year, Morgan and Bobby have dedicated countless hours to classroom instruction, in-hospital clinicals, and their Capstone field time requirements.

Morgan was additionally recognized as the class Valedictorian — an outstanding achievement.

THANK YOU: A huge thank you to Connie Kieffer, Owner of "After the Vine" for placing a donation fire boot out for our local first responders. Connie set the donation boot out during their bike night on July 16th and kept it out until the end of the July. A total of $110.51 was collected and will be donated to the Rockton Firefighter's Association.

OFF PROBATION: Congratulations to Firefighters Maddelin Matrick, Seth Hradecky, and Walt Wilson for completing their probationary period. Each of these individuals have accomplished the fire district’s necessary requirements and were officially taken off probation effective August 1st. We are proud to have Maddelin, Seth, and Walt as part of our team and we're very appreciative for their dedication to our community. Great Job, by all.

The Rockton Fire Protection District is pleased to announce that we have taken ownership of our new 2026 F 550 Horton Ambulance earlier today. This marks the completion of a three year process—from developing initial build specifications, finalizing production details, to awaiting our turn in the manufacturing schedule.

Over the next several weeks, the ambulance will be outfitted with all required equipment and supplies. Our personnel will also complete operational and driver training to ensure the unit is fully ready for service.

We look forward to placing this ambulance into operation and continuing our commitment to delivering the highest level of care to our community.
