Trauma season has officially begun in Parke and Vermillion Counties.

Join us this Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Parke County Fairgrounds to donate blood and help save lives in our community.

Our region frequently operates at critically low blood supply levels, and every donor truly makes a difference. Your donation can have a direct impact on patients right here at home.

Parke County EMS, in collaboration with Purdue Extension Parke County, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our Week of Education. All emergency responders are encouraged to attend.

A virtual attendance option is available for those who will be participating while on duty. Responders who are off duty are asked to attend in person to gain the full benefit of the program.

We look forward to your participation in this valuable educational opportunity.

Shoutout to Crawfordsville Fire Department for allowing us to borrow one of their spare lifepak 15 cardiac monitors during the Covered Bridge Festival. Those of you who aren't aware; we stock our non transport units ALS as well so we can better take care of you. This loaner monitor allowed us to make sure we had the right equipment to adequately take care of your loved ones. Thanks again for the help!

If you need a glucose monitor, the health department has them for free. The health dept is located in the basement of the courthouse, just inside the east entry door (across the street from Aaron’s on the Square).
