In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank you for all you do.

Finally we want you to meet Marri. Marri has been certified for about 4 months and has been with us for 1 season.

Marri's favorite thing about this job is swimming and her least favorite is taking out the trash.

Marri decided to become a lifeguard because our guard Emma talked her into it. She plans to come back next season.

When Marri isn't at the pool with us, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with friends.

Marri plans to go to college for nursing when she gets out of highschool.

Thank you Marri!! I saved you for last so you wouldn't think you were my favorite! 😁

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

Meet Tristan! He has been certified for 3 months and this is his first season with us.

Tristan's favorite thing about working here is meeting new friends. His least favorite is battling the bugs. (Apparently the sweat bees like to hang out in the guard chairs)

When Tristan isn't battling the bugs here at the pool, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Tristan decided to become a lifeguard because fast food wasn't his thing and there wasn't much else he could find for someone his age. Tristan says he plans to join us again next season.

After Highschool, Tristan plans to go to the University of Michigan to fulfill his football dream and he also wants to become a mechanic and work on cars for a while.

Thank you Tristan! We hope your football dream becomes your reality!

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

This is Jocelyn, she has been certified for a couple of months. She came to us a little later in the season, but we were super excited to have her join us.

Jocelyn says her favorite things about the job are tanning and swimming. Her least favorite thing is taking out the trash. Luckily she says she will be back next season, im sure there will be plenty more trash! 😆 🤣

Outside of work, Jocely enjoys hanging out with her friends. She plans to go to college for nursing once she graduates from
highschool.

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

Meet Vickter. He has been certified for 2 years and has spent 2 seasons with us.

Vickter's favorite thing about working here is being able to get in the water. His least favorite is the chores, any of them.

Vickter says he decided to apply to be a lifeguard because his mom wanted him to. (Thanks mom!)

When Vickter isn't at the pool, he enjoys playing football and hanging out with his friends. He is unsure if he will be joining us next season or not. We hope so, but if not we wish him well in whatever he decides to do.

After highschool, Vickter plans to go to college.

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

Meet Emmylou! She has been certified for 2 years and this is her second season with us. She applied to be a lifeguard so she could work outside in the sun, and because her cousin and former lifeguard Annamae convinced her to.

Emmylou's favorite thing about the job is spending time in the sun. Her least favorite thing is cleaning bathrooms.

After highschool Emmylou plans to attend Purdue to study Ag Business. Outside of work she enjoys showing pigs and traveling.

Unfortunately Emmylou wont be returning next season, but we wish he the best future ever!

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

This is Carys. She has been certified since 2024 and has spent 2 seasons here.

Carys says her favorite things about working here are being outside and her coworkers. Her least favorite thing is cleaning the bathrooms.

Carys says she applied to work here because her swim coach encouraged her to.

Carys' favorite thing to do away from work is to run. She will be attending Saint Mary of the Woods College majoring in Kinesiology. She will also be running collegiately.

When asked if she will come back to us next season, Carys said, "More than likely. I'll see where the wind takes me."

Thanks Carys! It has been great spending the summers with you!

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

Meet Colton. Colton has been a pool kid as long as I can remember. Colton has been certified for about 3 months and this is his first season with us. He plans to return next season.

Colton's favorite thing about the job is swimming. His least favorite is sitting in the chair, but he admits it can be fun sometimes too.

Colton says he decided he wanted to be a lifeguard since he was already spending his summers at the pool anyway.

When Colton isn't at work he enjoys hanging out with his friends and riding his bike. After school he plans to join the Marine Corps!

In honor of National Lifeguard Appreciation Day, the Park Board would like to thank the guards for all they do.

This is Jacob, he has been certified for about 4 months and this is his first season with us.

Jacob's favorite thing about working at the pool is the tanning potential! His least favorite thing is cleaning toilets. Even with the toilets, he does plan to join us again next season.

Jacob says he applied for this job because his dad says it could give him opportunities in the future. Jacob plans to pursue a career in law enforcement once he's out of school.

When he's not at work, Jacob enjoys working out.
