Salute to Life We work exclusively w/ military personnel, dependents, and DoD civilians to join the DoD Marrow Donor Program / Salute to Life Registry.

Our official name is the C.W. Bill Young Department of Defense Marrow Donor Program, but we are often called the DoD Marrow Donor Program or Salute to Life. We are located in Rockville, Maryland and have been in operation since 1991. We work exclusively with military personnel and their dependents, DoD civilian employees, Reservists, and Coast Guard and National Guard members to facilitate marrow

and stem cell donations. We have recruited more than 1 million individuals to fight against blood cancer and other fatal diseases. Each year, more than 17,000 people are diagnosed with diseases that require an infusion of stem cells; more than 70% of patients are unable to find an appropriate match within their own family and will require an unrelated donor (NMDP, 2021). Meet Marine Raider Aaron Sekulov.

Aaron has dedicated his adult life to serving our nation, from the Scout Sniper community to deployments with MARSOC. He is a husband, a leader, and an MBA student who continues to prepare for a lifetime of service beyond the uniform.

Today, Aaron is battling leukemia. A stem cell transplant is a critical part of his treatment and offers hope for his future.

The DoD Marrow Donor Program connects military members, their families, and DoD civilians to patients in need of a life- saving marrow or stem cell transplant.
