Join us for the Bacon Buddies® Swine Show at the Calhoun County Expo!

This meaningful event pairs 4-H and FFA members with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to learn about showing a pig

WHAT: Participants will experience exhibiting a pig, working alongside their mentor as a team. Each participant will receive a T-shirt!
WHEN: Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1 PM
WHERE: Calhoun County Fairgrounds (402 High Street, Rockwell City)

Join Caitlyn for a Quilt Block Sewing Workshop on Monday, June 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Calhoun County Extension Office.

Participants will sew quilt blocks to be entered in the Quilt Block Challenge at the Calhoun County Expo. Whether you are experienced or just interested in learning, all 4-H youth are welcome to attend.

🍔🌭 4-H Club Leaders & Members – We Need Your Help! 🌭🍔

We're looking for clubs and members to help staff the 4-H Food Stand during the Calhoun County Expo, July 7–11.

Volunteer opportunities include:
🥤 Serving drinks
🍫 Selling chips and candy
🍔 Serving food
💵 Making change/cashier duties

If your club or club members cover at least three shifts, you'll be eligible to receive a share of the profits. Think of this as a fundraiser for your club's activities throughout the year!

Please review the available time slots and sign up today. Together we can make the 4-H Food Stand a success! If you have any questions please let Caitlyn know by emailing [email protected] or calling the office at 712-297-8611.

Registration is now open for Ocean Explorers Engineering & Coding Camp for 4th-12th Graders. Call 712-297-8611 to register today. Camp is June 10th 9am -3pm, lunch provided. Cost for camp is $10 for 4-H Member or $15 for non 4-H Members.

The fees and services will be used to off-set direct expenses and support the Youth and Development programs.

Our second quilt block is in! Will yours be next?

Threads of Tradition

One of the NEW classes at the Calhoun County Expo is our Quilt Block Challenge—open to youth and adults!

Theme: Patriotic (Red, White & Blue)
Create and submit a 12x12 quilt block using a pattern of your choice.

Your block would be part of a quilt that will be voted on this year and raffled off at the 2027 Calhoun County Expo!

Kits are available at Lee’s Quilt Shed or the Extension Office! Please call before picking up a kit.
