It was an honor to participate in the funeral procession for Lincoln Park Fire Sergeant Amrozi. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and the members of the Lincoln Park Fire Department during this difficult time. May his service and sacrifice never be forgotten.

The fire yesterday on Huron River Dr behind Hurst Marine was a piece of equipment that was being worked on that caught fire. It is unrelated to a fire that occurred on the same property July 5th. There were no injuries. Thank you to the Flat Rock Fire Department, Gibraltar Fire Department, Woodhaven Fire Department and Huron Township Fire Department for their assistance.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Herzog, a devoted member of the Rockwood Fire Department family.
Jim proudly served our department for 41 years, including time as Deputy Chief, dedicating his life to protecting and serving our community. Even after his retirement, Jim’s commitment never wavered—he continued to support the department as an honorary member, always offering his time, wisdom, and encouragement.
Jim’s legacy of service, leadership, and dedication will forever be a part of the Rockwood Fire Department. He will be deeply missed by his fellow firefighters, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Please keep Jim’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
