🍁 Participants will be guided along the SML Community Park and Lovely Valley Loop trails. Expect to hike 4 miles total.

🎣🍂 2026 FRANKLIN COUNTY FALL FISHING DERBY RESULTS! 🍂🎣

What a fantastic morning of fishing at the Pigg River! Despite the rainy weather, 90 young anglers came out to cast their lines, enjoy the outdoors, and compete for bragging rights at the 2026 Fall Fishing Derby hosted by Franklin County Parks & Recreation! 🐟

👏 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AGE DIVISION WINNERS!

🏆 Ages 6 & Under
🥇 1st Place: Wyatt Fischer — 7.40 lbs.
🥈 2nd Place: Kimber Gregory — 3.21 lbs.
🥉 3rd Place: Rylan Smith — 0.40 lbs.

🥇 1st Place: Re*****on Cramblitt — 7.60 lbs.
🥈 2nd Place: Aaron Atkins — 7.56 lbs.

🏆 Re*****on Cramblitt takes home the overall winner title with an impressive 7.60 pounds of fish caught! Way to go, Re*****on!

🐟 BY THE NUMBERS:
🎣 90 anglers joined us for a rainy morning of fishing.
🐠 25 anglers weighed in their catches.
⚖️ A total of 79.79 pounds of fish were caught in the Pigg River!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and participated, and to Limit 6 and the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) for helping make this event a success! Your support helps us create wonderful outdoor experiences for the youth in our community. ❤️

🎣🏆 CONGRATULATIONS, RE*****ON! 🏆🎣

What a great day of fishing at Waid Park this past Saturday! Franklin County Parks & Recreation is proud to recognize Re*****on, the winner of the 7–9 age division AND the Overall Winner at our Kids Fishing Derby! 🐟👏

With over 90 kids out fishing, it was a fantastic day filled with fun, friendly competition, and a whole lot of trout begin caught! 🎣

A HUGE THANK YOU to Limit 6 and the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) for their assistance and support in making this event a success! We appreciate everyone who helped make this such a memorable day for our young anglers.
