This evening we’d like to give thanks as we reflect on the day.
*We’re thankful that the family that suffered the loss of their home all made it out safely.
*We’re thankful that FF Jeremy Parker will make a full recovery from injuries sustained today while bravely fighting the structure fire.
*We’re thankful for every single person that worked diligently to save the home and its contents. Volunteer/career status didn’t matter. It was an effort by people that care, to make a difference in any way possible.
*We’re thankful for community members that brought food and drink to our crews during the event. Your kind words meant a lot as well.
*We’re thankful for our local Bojangles for once again bringing food to our crews. They never fail to support us in everything we do.
*We’re thankful that despite setbacks, such as when people lose their homes to fires, we still live in one of the greatest communities anywhere and no one is ever alone.
*Pray for one another, hug your loved ones, don’t take anything for granted.

Update on our member, Firefighter Jermey Parker!

He is in good spirits and back home resting after a long and scary day. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and been there for not only his personal family, but our fire department family as well. Times like this truly show how big and strong the fire service family is.

Rest up Jermey, we look forward to seeing you back on that fire truck soon! 🚒
