To welcome you; we'd love to tell you our story. Hassan Elementary first opened its doors in 2005. We serve students from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. We also are proud to have an Autism Spectrum Program within our school as well. Our school has about 750 students and about 70 faculty and staff. We have a very dedicated staff of teachers, assistants, specialists and office staff. Each and every pe
rson on our staff cares about kids and wants to strive to make Hassan Elementary the best school. We have an absolutely beautiful school. It's a two-story building that brings natural light into every classroom. There are many energy saving attributes to our school as well - including motion detecting lights. Not only is the school beautiful, so are our students, staff and parents. We are lucky to have such a wonderfully supportive community of parents. When we need volunteers, many parents step up to the plate; when we fundraise, everyone plays a part. We want you to be involved in your child's educational experience. Your involvement can include volunteering in the classroom, helping at school events and contributing your ideas to the PTO. But, don't forget, your best involvement is all the little things - such as creating a space that is quiet and free from distractions for your child to do his homework, showing your interest in the work your child brings home, helping your child to create a strong work ethic, reading to your child and providing appropriate boundaries and discipline. The Hassan PTO was founded in 2005, as the school began its first year. A very dedicated and creative group of parents worked together to create an outstanding PTO structure. They did all the nitty gritty of creating structure, establishing a mission, writing the by-laws, setting up traditions, and did a phenomenal job fundraising and providing activities and events for our community. We are so excited to keep the momentum going that our founding group pioneered. Please, come along with us. 2014 -2015 PTO Meetings are planned for the 2nd Tuesday of each month and are held at Hassan Elementary starting at 7:00 PM.
