This past Saturday (June 1st) we attended the Kids Safety Day at Food City in Church Hill. Kids and parents were shown some of our basic tools and equipment we use. Thank you to everyone for coming out! Most importantly we hope the kids had fun.

This week crews have attended Church Hill Elementary school and Joseph Roger's Primary school. They had their "Touch a truck" and "Public Safety Day" this week for students as this school year comes to an end. Crews showed students some basic tools we use, and educated them on their uses! Thank you to the schools for allowing for us to come out and spend time with the kids.

This week at inservice, crews refreshed their knowledge on using our ventilators aswell as CPAP devices. We use these tools to provide the best care possible to the citizens we serve. Thank you to the team from UT Lifestar for this awesome class!

Our hearts break for our brothers and sisters at Morristown-Hamblen Emergency Medical Service for the loss of one of their own. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this hard time.

This week Greene County Mayor Kevin Morrison recognized responders from Hawkins County EMS that responded to a recent Mass Casualty Incident in Greene county. We sent over 2 Ambulances to post at Greene County EMS headquarters. We also had another ambulance posted at the Hawkins and Greene county line posted, if anymore help was needed. All units cleared the call and returned to Hawkins county once released. Thank you Mayor Morrison!
