🚗❄️ Stranded Vehicles During Inclement Weather

Hawkins County Emergency Services has a system in place to help prevent duplicate calls for service during severe weather.

If you see a vehicle with caution tape or bright-colored tape on it, this means the vehicle has already been checked and cleared by emergency services and there is no one inside needing assistance.

This process helps:
✅ Reduce repeated calls for the same vehicle
✅ Keep emergency lines available for true emergencies
✅ Allow responders to focus on those who still need help

Please do not report taped vehicles unless you see a new hazard or someone in distress.

No burn permits will be issued due to increased fire danger.

Dry conditions and wind make outdoor burning extremely hazardous. Please do your part to prevent wildfires! 🚫🔥
