We need your help to find Homer Billings, who is missing from Tipton County.

The 81-year-old is 6’2”, 160 lbs., with gray hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen on Saturday and is believed to be travelling to Caruthersville, Missouri.

Homer may be driving a silver 2019 KIA Sorento with TN plate BGH4147.

He has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.

On behalf of the Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency, we extend our appreciation and recognition to Enbridge Inc. and the Enbridge Fueling Futures Program for their generous grant, to be used specifically to obtain a thermal imaging camera.
This meaningful contribution has enabled the Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency to obtain a FLIR thermal imaging camera—an essential, potentially life-saving device that has been purchased and is currently in service. This equipment plays a critical role in a wide range of situations, including search and rescue operations, fire response, Hazmat, and other emergencies where visibility is compromised and rapid, informed action is required.
The support provided through the Enbridge Fueling Futures Program demonstrates a strong commitment to community safety, preparedness, and resilience. Investments like this not only enhance our effectiveness but also helps protect the lives and well-being of the citizens we serve.

Tornado Warning issued August 22 at 9:37PM EDT until August 22 at 10:15PM EDT by NWS Morristown TN
At 936 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles northwest of Gate City, moving southeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
Gate City and Weber City around 950 PM EDT.

a line extending from Peepace Store to near Surgoinsville. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.

An Endangered Child Alert has been issued on behalf of the Washington County Sheriff's Office - TN for 15-year-old Gabriella Carpenter. She was last seen this morning in Gray wearing a brown, cropped t-shirt, blue Cookie Monster pajama pants, and black-and-white Converse shoes. Gabriella is 5’4” tall, 145 lbs. with purple hair and brown eyes.
