Creating the Rogue River Recreational Corridor and Greenway, a 30 mile emerald necklace of parks and public access areas along the Rogue River linked by a ribbon of greenway trail between Central Point and Grants Pass in Southern Oregon and also connecting to the 20 mile Bear Creek Greenway. Connecting Jackson and Josephine Counties, 8 Cities and numerous communities by bicycle, pedestrian and water trails and providing a gateway to an abundance of recreational opportunities and resources.

June 11, 1971 Governor Tom McCall signs 🖊 the bike bill on the seat of a ten-speed bicycle 🚲 at the capitol in Salem. To his left is Don Stathos, who authored the law.
This historic legislation was the first of its kind in the nation, requiring road projects to include accommodations for bicyclists 🚴 and pedestrians and designating at least 1% of highway funds for bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

The best "first bike" story starts with someone running alongside. 🩷🚲

May is a beautiful time to get the kids outside and on two wheels. A properly sized bike makes learning so much easier and more enjoyable than one they'll "grow into."
