Roland High School Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Are Open!

Roland High School is now accepting nominations for our 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Class!

This year, we are especially looking for nominations of former Roland athletes from 1973–1976. These Rangers are an important part of our athletic history, and we want to make sure those who made a lasting impact are recognized and celebrated.

If you know a former Roland athlete from 1973, 1974, 1975, or 1976 who deserves this honor, we want to hear from you!

📅 Nomination Deadline: September 4, 2026

🏈 Hall of Fame Recognition:
This year’s recipients will be honored during our Alumni & Honor Night on Friday, September 25, during the Roland Rangers football game against Victory Christian.

EXCITING NEWS FOR ROLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS!

Roland Public Schools is excited to share that we are among the organizations selected to receive a new 21st Century Community Learning Center grant through the Oklahoma State Department of Education!

The Oklahoma State Department of Education awarded more than $3.2 million in new grants to 13 organizations across the state. These five-year grants provide academic enrichment and learning opportunities for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, with a focus on high-poverty communities and schools needing targeted support.

Programs are offered before and after school, during the summer, and over holiday breaks, with more than 16,000 students served annually statewide.

Through 21st Century Community Learning Centers, students can receive additional support in reading, math, and tutoring, along with enrichment opportunities such as robotics, chess, debate, art, music, drama, science, college and career readiness, and health and fitness.

The program also provides literacy and educational services for families, helping strengthen the connection between home, school, and community.

We are excited about what this opportunity will mean for our students and families and look forward to sharing more information about Roland’s program!

Our Pre-K students had a special visitor today! They got to meet Taz, the new resource dog working alongside Resource Officer McGee.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE!

We’re excited to announce that our After-School Program will open Monday, August 24th!

At this time, families will need to enroll under Boys & Girls Club (BGC) in order for their child to attend the after-school program.

We are currently working to get the 21st Century Grant implemented. Once that process is complete, we will share additional information and updates regarding enrollment under the 21st Century program.

📌 For now, please remember:
• Program opens Monday, August 24th
• Children must be enrolled with BGC before attending
• Please follow the enrollment instructions provided by BGC
• We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the transition to the 21st Century Grant program.
