Today marked another major milestone for the Rolesville Fire Department as former Board of Directors Treasurer Frank Pearce Jr., Administrative Specialist Edna Allison, and Fire Chief Jason Deitch wrote the final check and officially closed the books on the Rolesville Rural Fire Department.

As we continue moving forward with the Town of Rolesville, we honor the many generations of members whose dedication and service built the strong foundation we stand on today.

Thank you to everyone who helped shape the proud legacy of the Rolesville Rural Fire Department. That legacy will continue to guide us into the future.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at Rolesville Fire Department!

We were honored to host NC Representative Mike Schietzelt at the fire station (pictured with B-Shift), responded to many emergencies including a vehicle accident on Hwy 401, and continued progress on our new brush truck project.

Last night, the Rolesville Fire Department had the honor of hosting our 2025-2026 Awards Ceremony recognizing the outstanding members who continue to serve our department and community with pride, professionalism, and dedication.

We were proud to recognize the following members for their achievements and dedication to the department:

🏆 2025 Career Firefighter of the Year – Chelsea Hendren
🏆 2025 Volunteer Firefighter of the Year – David Hamm
🏆 2025 Officer of the Year – Justin Massey
🏆 2025 Roy Ed Jones Most Training Hours – Chelsea Hendren

We also recognized several important milestones within the department:

🚒 Promotion to Volunteer Captain – Ryan Lynn
🚒 Probationary Completion & Black Helmet/Shield Presentation – David Nabb

As Fire Chief Jason Deitch shared during the ceremony, while we spend a lot of time focused on improving and building for the future, it is equally important that we take time to celebrate the wins and recognize the people behind them.

Thank you to all of our members, families, supporters, and the Station 15 Foundation for helping make this special evening possible. We are extremely proud of the culture, commitment, and teamwork that continues to make Rolesville Fire Department such a special organization.

Big progress on Rolesville Fire Department’s new brush truck 🚒🔥

We’re moving into final graphics next week, followed by installation of radios and electronics. This unit is going to be a strong addition to our fleet and our ability to serve the community.

We’re on track for a May–June delivery—stay tuned for the finished product!

NC Emergency Management is reminding everyone that the combination of dry fuels, very warm temperatures, gusty winds, and reduced humidity will lead to an increased risk of wildfires again today.

🍂 Most dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter could easily ignite and spread fire quickly.

❌ A statewide burn ban issued by the N.C. Forest Service remains in place.
