Stay weather aware today. Again please report any damage to the proper authories. Phelps County Emergency Management will need the assessments for the National Weather Service. Tornado chasers have already been spotted in town so that's never a good sign. Everyone stay safe out there and heed the warnings. Remember if there is water over the road, one please don't call dispatch. We do not put signs up as we have waaayy too many low water crossings and two turn around don't drown.

The National Weather Service has now upgraded our area to a level 4 out of 5.

Strong to severe storms are expected to develop along a cold front this afternoon with the best chances of storms along and east of U.S. 65. All modes of severe weather will be possible, including the potential for very large hail and a few large

Hail could be as large as *softballs* and a few tornadoes are possible.

Had the opportunity to attend the job fair the Chamber of Commerce put on. Had some interest. Looking forward to next year.

We will have Co Rd 8050 closed at the intersection of Co Rd 8070 from 9 am -2 pm today, March 25th for culvert replacement.

Sugartree exit is officially closed for repairs to the bridge.

If you haven’t noticed, the Sugartree overpass (exit 176) is officially closed until at least mid-May. The entire overpass is closed.

The on and off ramps remain open!

The Phelps County Highway Dept will have Co Rd 8110 (Sally Rd) closed from Meadow Ln to State Route Y starting Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 20th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm each day for improvements weather depending. Only residents who reside on Co Rd 8110 and the subdivision off of it will be allowed through to access their homes. There will be NO THRU TRAFFIC allowed during these times to ensure the safety of the workers so please watch for signs. Thank you!

ALERT for Doolittle and Rolla: Three bridges over I-44 are scheduled for rehabilitation work beginning in March:
• Phelps County Route D over I-44 CLOSED March 9-13.
• Phelps County Sugar Tree Road over I-44 CLOSED March 16 – May 11.
• Phelps County Business U.S. 44/Missouri Route 72/Kingshighway over I-44 March 23 – June 11: Eastbound open. Westbound CLOSED with detour to Exit to 184.

All ramps will remain open.
