The Central Workforce Development Region offers free services for youth across mid-Missouri — career exploration, skills development, work experience, and connections to employers who are ready to invest in the next generation of workers.

Whether you are a young person ready to get started, a parent looking for resources, or a school or community partner working to open doors for the youth you serve, we are here to work alongside you.

The future workforce is being built right now. Let us build it together. Learn more at cwdregion.com.

Kalyn Smith was already caring for people on the front lines, working part-time in patient care and emergency medical services. Then she set her sights on becoming a nurse.

With support from the WIOA Adult program, the EDA Good Jobs Challenge Grant, and Healthy Blue, Kalyn earned her Associate Degree in Nursing at State Fair Community College. Today, she's a full-time Registered Nurse at Boone Health with a self-supporting wage and full benefits.

"WIOA helped me get through nursing school!" Kalyn says.

Your next great employee is out there. An apprenticeship can help you find them — and train them your way.

Missouri Apprentice Connect makes it easier than ever for Central Missouri employers to build the skilled workforce they need. Through a registered apprenticeship program, you play an active role in shaping the training, setting the standards, and developing talent that fits your business from day one.

And as your apprentice grows, so does their pay — keeping them motivated and invested in your organization.

It is a proven model that benefits your bottom line, your team, and your community.
