Last night in D’Iberville, I had the honor of joining the AFL-CIO and South Mississippi Central Labor Council for a powerful candidate town hall.
I shared that I’m running as an Independent because both political parties have failed us.
We talked about what matters most to working folks in our state: fair wages, strong unions, safe working conditions, and the dignity of work.
Too many Mississippians have been ignored by leaders more focused on party labels than people. I’m not running to represent a party. I’m running to represent you. This campaign is about putting people first and doing what’s right, not what’s politically convenient.
A big thank you to MS AFL-CIO President Mickey Carr for the warm welcome and continued leadership in fighting for Mississippi’s workers.
And thank you to the entire labor community for the invitation and for all you do. I’ll keep showing up — you deserve nothing less. Donate, volunteer, and learn more about my campaign for U.S. Senate at www.TyPinkins.com
