🏪✨ Who remembers the Ben Franklin store?

The Ramirez Variety Store, better known in Roma as the Ben Franklin Store, was part of our local business community for many years.

Owned by Manuel Ramirez Jr., the store opened in May 1969 and served generations of local families throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

For many local families, a trip to Ben Franklin was part of everyday life. Whether you were shopping for crafts, school supplies, gifts, household items, or simply browsing the aisles, the store holds a special place in the memories of generations of Roma residents.

Today, the Ben Franklin Store is remembered as an important part of Roma’s commercial history and of the personal memories of those who shopped or worked there.
