We have scheduled our 2026 Civilian Fi****ms Safety Program for Saturday, September 19th. Please complete the attached form and return it to the Rome City Marshals Office either by mail, in person, or email. If you cannot print this form, you can request that one be mailed to you or you can pick one up at the Rome City Town Hall.

This is our 10th year of providing this free program to the public regardless of your zip code. There are age restrictions for this class and legal requirements for the ability to possess a handgun.

Today, August 18th the department conducted some fi****ms training, a stress shoot.
Our officers trained with R***e, Handgun, sh***un, Taser, and Pepper Spray. They deployed from their vehicles, utilized three different shooting positions (standing, kneeling and prone). They encountered weapons malfunctions, engaged targets while moving, shot one handed with both strong and weak hands, conducted a magazine change, and engaged moving targets.

Tee-Off Less Than 3 Weeks-AUGUST 19!!
It takes a lot of time to organize this fundraiser outing, and if you have not responded it’s not too late!!!

WE NEED ALL YOUR SUPPORT to make this a SUCCESS and would LOVE to have ALL PAST and ANY NEW PARTICIPANTS involved as well for our 27th YEAR!!!
Drug-Free Noble County will be hosting our 27th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser:
“Tee It Up” Against Drugs, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Noble Hawk Golf Course in Kendallville, Indiana. Tee-off 1pm, Dinner 5:30pm.
I am also still looking for 1 more Volunteers during event for Contests starting at Tee-Off 1pm.

This fundraising effort of our coalition helps us to accomplish our mission of “reducing the use and abuse of alcohol, to***co and other drugs” in Noble County through support of prevention programs, treatment, and law enforcement/justice. A few of the coalitions strategies for this year include educating parents, youth and the community on the harms of underage drinking, continuing education of the workplace on current drug-related issues, continuing support of local law enforcement efforts (including efforts to battle RX Drugs), continuing support of local treatment & recovery facilities and their efforts, working with other youth serving organizations on prevention efforts to help our area youth succeed, and continue providing resources and education to parents to help them keep their children away from drugs.
