Ahem...can we have your attention please...

For the first time in ECO Center history, we are hosting a trivia night!! Could this be a dumb idea if no one wants to participate with us? Yes. But as a famous Harry once said, "Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this...and totally redeem yourself!" The Rome-Floyd ECO Center was incredibly honored to receive a Preservation Award from the Rome Area Heritage Foundation earlier this month! They recognized us for our efforts of stewardship and preservation of our building, the historic 1893 Oostanaula River pump station. We are thankful to them for this acknowledgement and celebrate the history of Rome with them!

Celebrate National Pollinator Month with us with one (or both!) of our June special events!

We are bringing a buzz to the ECO Center's last Saturday of the month hours on Saturday, June 27! Local beekeepers will be at the live observation hive to talk all things honey bees and beekeeping. Taste different local honeys. Learn how honey bees communicate. Take home some seeds and native plant resources. And we will have other pollinator-themed activities throughout the ECO Center. Free to participate, so drop-in anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm!
