Tonight Rome firefighters went over the rope gun, this is utilized for Rope Rescue calls or having to get a line across a river for water rescue call. This piece of equipment doesn’t get used often on calls, so good to train on it.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our own, Brooke Jewell. She died this morning as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident.

Although Brooke was with the department for a short time, she made a meaningful and lasting impact on those who had the privilege to serve alongside her. She will be deeply missed.
