The RFCCCY is thankful for our Board Member, Molly Majestic, and for all the ways she serves our community.
💙 Sometimes community policing starts with a conversation.
Sometimes it changes a life.
Over the past year, Rome Police and City of Rome Homeless & Housing Program Manager Molly Majestic have worked together to help individuals experiencing homelessness find resources, reconnect with family, and move toward stability.
When officers encounter someone facing difficult circumstances, the goal isn't always enforcement. Sometimes the most important step is connecting that person with someone who can help.
✔ Angela was sleeping at the library when PFC Zach Colvin encouraged her to seek assistance. Through referrals to local services and the City's housing program, she has maintained stable housing since September 2025.
✔ Carl was found sleeping in a public area when Ambassador Marta Hernandez connected him with Molly. Together, they helped repair transportation equipment for Carl and his dog before reuniting him with family in Tampa, where a job was waiting.
✔ Michael was experiencing homelessness when officers connected him with Molly, who helped coordinate his return home to Nashville and reunification with family.
These stories aren't about one officer, one employee, or one agency.
They're about what can happen when police officers, city staff, shelters, nonprofits, and families work together toward a common goal.
Community policing isn't always measured by arrests made.
Sometimes it's measured by lives changed.
