🍑 2027 Peachtree Qualifying Race
🏃‍♀️‍➡️ 5k or 2-mile health walk
💲$30 for 5k/ $25 for health walk (price increase after 7/17)
🗺️ 5K course is certified by USATF
⏰ 5k chip-timed by W2W Running (health walk is non-competitive)

Sometimes the timing is perfect, and the needs of a family in crisis become available through one of our community partners. The challenge has been having space to hold it while housing is being secured.

So we reorganized our space to accommodate those perfect-timing opportunities. When the right resource becomes available at the right time, we want to be ready to connect it with that family.

Because our storage space is limited, larger household item donations should be coordinated in advance. If you have furniture or household items to donate, please contact us first to see whether we have a current need and available space.

We also invite our community to help us keep the following items in stock all the time:

• Cleaning supplies
• Non-perishable food
• Household essentials
• Diapers and wipes
• Gas cards

These items help us respond quickly when families need support most. As always, THANK YOU for your support!

Generosity grows when people can see the difference it makes!
We’re grateful to First Presbyterian Church of Rome for supporting the Family Resource Center in their 2026 Be Generous Campaign, an annual effort that assists 10 local ministries serving our community.
When delivering the donation, church representative Ron Kiefer said, “People are so happy to give, especially when they know what their generosity is supporting.” Here at the FRC, every gift provides parenting support, resources, and encouragement to families as they work toward creating safe, stable, and nurturing homes for their children.

Thank you to First Presbyterian Church and everyone who participated in the Be Generous Campaign for investing in stronger families and a stronger community.

Our friends at Rhea Lana’s of Cartersville 🩷found two meaningful ways to support local families this spring—by donating a portion of their March presale ticket sales to the Family Resource Center and by sharing maternity items from their consignment event.

Today, we were thrilled to receive a $500 donation from those ticket sales. Combined with the donated items, this generosity will make a tangible difference for families in our community.

We love seeing community come together for good! 💛 🍳
All throughout the month of June, our Rome Eggs Up Grill’s ‘Smiles for Good’ campaign supports the Family Resource Center through a simple collective effort—optional guest donations at checkout, special menu items that give back, and matching support from Eggs Up Grill. It’s an easy and meaningful way to turn breakfast into something bigger—and help local families thrive!

The FRC is joining other agencies from the Georgia Family Support Network to share information about the positive impact of Family Resource Centers with Congress members. Only five representatives from each state were allowed to attend the convening in DC, and we are proud to stand alongside the Georgia agencies!
