Did you know that veterans can have their DD-214 recorded at the Floyd County Courthouse?

The DD-214 is the official form issued by the Department of Defense when a service member is discharged from the military. Recording this document with the Clerk of Superior Court ensures that it’s easily accessible if you ever need a certified copy in the future.

Many veterans don’t realize this service exists, but it’s completely free and available to all veterans in Floyd County. If your DD-214 has already been recorded elsewhere and you’ve moved here, you can bring your copy to:

Clerk of Superior Court’s Office
3 Government Plaza, Suite 101
Rome, GA

Your document will be recorded and kept on file locally, making it simple to access if you ever need it.

Please share this info with any veterans you know—it’s a small step that can save time and stress down the road. Thank you to all who served!
