Put on your favorite hat because on Friday, June 5th, the Starkweather Arts Center and the Starkweather Society will host an opening reception for the "Hats Off!" exhibition.

To celebrate, we'll look at Emilia Starkweather, Helen Starkweather's mother, who made and sold hats for 30 years. Our latest article about Emilia and the Starkweather Millinery is at this link: https://romeocommunityarchives.blogspot.com/2026/06/put-on-your-favorite-hat-because-on.html

STANDING OVATION for EMILY MALEK

The Romeo Post is taking a summer break from historic Romeo sports photos. This week will be our last set.

Before we take a hiatus…

If you’ve enjoyed the weekly historic pics, join us in giving a *STANDING OVATION* thank you to Emily Malek of the Romeo Community Archives, Romeo District Library-Kezar Branch

Emily does the hard work of digging into the archives to provide the photos we share each week.

Thank you, Emily.

Thank you, Romeo District Library
