It is with incredible sadness that I share that longtime Will County Executive Larry Walsh has passed. Larry was more than a colleague he was a great friend. He had an amazing way of befriending and guiding anyone willing to listen. His style of leadership is not often found and transcended partisanship. Our community and I could always count on his partnership. I will miss seeing the photos of him this all his grandchildren that he loved so much. Our region has lost a great leader, wonderful friend and man who’s legacy we will continue to build our communities on.
Farewell my friend.

Long-time Will County Executive Larry Walsh has died after a lengthy illness, the Times Weekly has learned. “I’m very sad. I just spoke to his wife, Irene recently. I called her to later her know I was praying for him,” Will County Board Member Herb Brooks (D-Joliet) said.
