On Friday, I walked out of the Seneca County Sheriff's Office after a twenty-seven year career. It is a place that will always hold a special meaning to me. Serving this community has been the honor of my lifetime.
From childhood, I always wanted to be a Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy and follow in my Uncle Rob Lahr's footsteps. It has been an amazing career and I will cherish the memories and friendships forever.
I want to thank my wife, Danielle, and my daughters, Abbie and Megan, for supporting me through the tough days, middle of the night phone calls, call outs, and everything in between. These jobs are not easy and it takes strong support to be successful.
I also want to recognize Undersheriff Marquart, Chief Deputy Reed, and Confidential Assistant Ashley Denmark for their dedication and hard work while we led the Sheriff's Office. The days can be difficult, but the work is extremely important. I wish you nothing but success as you continue to lead the great men and women of the Sheriff's Office. Thank you for your trust and partnerships.
To the community, thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Our community is amazing and has truly been a great place to live and work.
And to those continuing to serve our communities, please be safe. My phone will always be on and I will always be there for you if you need anything.
