We are proud of the members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and thankful for the commitment, compassion, and professionalism they bring to this profession every day.

Thank you for recognizing the dedicated men and women that serve in our Correctional Facility. Your support is appreciated!

During National Correctional Officers Week, I stopped by the Seneca County Jail to drop off lunch and thank the hardworking correction officers who serve our community every single day.

These men and women take on one of the toughest jobs in public safety, often without the recognition they deserve. I’ll always stand with our corrections officers and fight to ensure they’re able to perform their duties safely.

Congratulations to the Seneca County Deputy Sheriff's Police Benevolent Association on the ratification of the collective bargaining agreement and a big thank you to the Seneca County Board of Supervisors for the support of these brave men and women.

Did you know April is Autism Awareness Month? 🧩🩵

In recognition of April 2nd being World Autism Awareness Day, know that the Sheriff's Office is committed to fostering understanding and support for individuals with autism in our community.

In doing so, we would like to highlight the New York State Sheriff's Association Blue Envelope Program, which was established to assist our Deputies in recognizing and accommodating individuals with autism during traffic stops and other interactions.

🩵🧩✉️

This program provides a discreet, nonverbal indicator that informs our Deputies about a driver's unique needs, aiming to improve communication and reduce the potential for misunderstandings.

🩵🧩✉️

By participating in this initiative, we strive to create a safer, more inclusive environment for everyone. We encourage community members to learn more about autism and to support initiatives that promote awareness and acceptance.

🩵🧩✉️

If you would like to obtain a Blue Envelope, they are available (free) from the lobby window at the Law Enforcement Center or you have it mailed directly by calling / emailing Ashley Denmark at 315.220.3403 / [email protected]
