Ronceverte Mayor's Volunteer Corps

For our November volunteer opportunity, we would like to encourage folks to participate in this great event. There are many ways to get involved, from actually volunteering before, during or after the event to making food and/or monetary donations! So many people enjoy and benefit from this meal!!

We are coming up on our Ninth Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner!  Back in 2022, approximately 125 volunteers and countless donors worked together to serve 583 meals, including dining-room service, carry-out, and delivery to shut-ins.

OCTOBER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Come join us this Saturday at 9:00 am and help spruce up downtown’s newest green space!! We will meet at Primitive Goods. Hope to see you there!

AUGUST VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!

The August volunteer opportunity will be this Saturday, August 26th, from 9:00 am until around 12:00 pm. We will be doing trash pick up, w**d removal and other various clean up activities around the downtown area. All are welcome, but anyone under 18 will need to bring an adult! We will gladly sign any documents for students needing volunteer hours.

We will meet at 9 am in front of the Primitive Goods store. We hope to see you there!!

The Mayor welcomed a wonderful group of ladies from Camp Alleghany for Girls on July 5th to kickoff the Mayor's Volunteer Corps initiative. The group helped prune, plant flowers, clean and improve the area around the Ronceverte Skate Shop in anticipation of the newest greenspace in Ronceverte, coming soon! Special thanks to Primitive Goods for helping with the project!
