Please help us congratulate Firefighter Tyler Woofter on passing his National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)!

All the hard work, countless hours of studying, and long hours of clinicals have officially paid off. We are proud of the dedication and effort he has put into better serving our community.

With Tylers certification, the department now has 5 certified EMTs and 1 Paramedic. We continue to slowly grow our capabilities to better serve the citizens of Roscoe and surrounding areas.

Congratulations Tyler! 💪🏻🚒

Monday Training

Tonight, members of the department, including some of our newest firefighters, trained on a very important set of skills: auto extrication.

We cut up a donated vehicle at the station this evening in full gear to show some of our newer folks the basics and reinforce techniques for others.

This is just one of many regular trainings we hold each year.

We were thrilled to have a firefighter from Blackwell VFD join us as well. Training together ensures we’re ready to work together when it counts.

Interested in joining the next one? Visit RoscoeFire.org for more information on how you can join us.

Please join us in welcoming Paramedic Tim Trujillo to the department! Tim is an EMT-P working for a nearby EMS agency but has decided to volunteer his time serving the citizens of Roscoe as a firefighter.

Tim makes the 5th certified EMT on the department with a 6th working to complete the training and testing for the Basic certification. This is one of the many trainings and certifications that our department sponsors for our members.

Tim brings years of experience as a Paramedic and an instructor, we’re excited to have him on board!

Want to join the ranks? Visit RoscoeFire.org for more information on our department and how you can volunteer.

Update: As of 10am, the water has been restored and pressure restored. We are back to normal operations.

Original Post: 7/29/26 8pm
Roscoe has experienced a water main break, causing water to be turned off to the entire city.

We are aware of this situation and have made contact with our mutual aid partners in the event of a major fire.

Situations like this are why we train on water tender operations, water shuttling, and dealing with contingencies.

The Nolan County Commissioners Court has lifted the county-wide burn ban, effective immediately.

Residents may resume outdoor burning, but are urged to continue exercising caution and to follow all applicable safety guidelines.
