Well the village officials made the decision that we need more apartments in our single family community. Putting them next to the homes as they did on Old River & Roscoe Rd was a slap in the face to the whole community. When you fail to listen to the people it affects the most and choose to side with a developer shows not respect gir the people that elected would. What were they thinking? Why do we really need more apartments on that location?

The tax failed again but, Rockton got theirs passed to for sidewalks. They need to reevaluate the roads to see if they are really are in as bad a shape as they say. And when they do don't do stupid things like using the first money they had was a board members and one of the newer subdivision.

I was Just in Riverside Park and it is a real shame that they are neglecting such a wonderful park. Im not sure when this old dead tree fell but it laying across the parking lot so if you go down in the park especially after dark be careful because it is laying cross half the parking lot in the driving lane and hasn't beet removed.

Well they finally decided to take care of the streets that actually needed fixed instead of redoing the newest roads in town that board members live on. They should have finished all of Second street but I guess the people that live in that part of town don't matter as much as the Ms. GUSTAFSON roads even though they were not that old. Second street is like riding a roller coaster but they dont seem to care unless its their street. The roads they did do turned out nice,

It appears that the sheriff and the county board chairman are putting smaller communities at risk.
The the county wants to charge all the smaller villages a high fee for dispatch service. I live in the village and pay County taxes but receive very little if any police patrol. Why should these communities have to pay more for dispatching service then the people that live outside of a city.
It is time for a change at the top. The sheriff and county board chairman need to go at the next election. Charging this $100,000.00 plus to Roscoe alone will hinder the ability the police department to hire new officers. I shouldn't have to pay for something the people get for nothing.

Well they are up to it again. I now why we have to pay for garbage service. They did this so they could fix board members roads. The roads they picked which includes Mrs. Gustafson Rd. Instead of fixing roads that are unsafe and, that ha never actually paved and look like cow . There are several streets in the older part of town that are to narrow for two cars to drive on and these are not being . They rated the road for som reason but that was a waste of time. The roads in Prairie Ridge are Crack but in no way are they worse than North st. Or several other roads in the village. I have tried to get an answer as too why they are not fixing the real bad dangerous roads.but they can't give me one., it's pretty obvious they are only there to help themselves and not the people.

For those of you that were asking about the soccer fields on McDonald Rd. I am pretty sure they are not owned by the Village the Soccer association owns the land and are responsible for it. You can file a complaint with the code enforcement officer though on the Village of Roscoe's website and he can look into it.
