🚒 FIRE HYDRANT PRESSURE TESTING THIS WEEK 💧

The Roseboro Fire Department will be conducting pressure testing of fire hydrants throughout Roseboro this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, beginning at 6:00 PM each evening.

While our hydrants are flushed annually, every five years we conduct pressure testing as part of the process used for our community’s fire protection insurance rating. This testing allows us to determine how much water pressure and flow our system can provide, which is important information when planning for and responding to fires.

💦 During testing, we will make every effort to direct water into the roadway and away from landscaping, yards, vehicles, and other property.

🚰 You may notice temporarily discolored or brown water. This is caused by sediment in the water lines being stirred up during testing and is normal. If this happens, simply allow your water to run for a minute or so until it clears.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we complete this important testing of our community’s fire protection water system.

Our Community Risk Reduction Officer, Meg, recently met with the Seniors Group at Roseboro Baptist Church to talk about fire prevention, smoke detector safety, and general home safety.

Congratulations to our former member, JJ, on graduating from U.S. Army Basic Training this past Friday! We are proud of his accomplishment and wish him the very best as he enjoys some well-earned time off before reporting to his next assignment. 🇺🇸

A big shout-out to Joey's & Family Tire and Service Center of Roseboro! We found a flat tire on our primary engine at 5 pm the other day, and they had us a new tire on the next morning at 8 am! Go see Joey and his family for your tire needs in Roseboro!

The Roseboro Fire Department is saddened to hear of the passing of Larry Tanner, a longtime friend and supporter of our department.

Larry’s connection to the fire service also lives on through his family, as all three of his sons have served with the Roseboro Fire Department over the years.

We are grateful for Larry’s many years of friendship and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tanner family during this difficult time.
