As the gusty winds begin to diminish, attention turns to tomorrow when another storm system will move through the region. This time the main concern will be accumulating snowfall, especially across northeastern Wyoming into the Black Hills.

There is still some uncertainty with the exact track this storm will take and that will impact how much snow people will get. If the storm track shifts further to the south, areas across the western South Dakota plains may see less snow. As of now: It looks like most people in northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota will see accumulating snowfall with northeastern Wyoming into the Black Hills and southwestern South Dakota seeing the most snow.

What we are certain of is that this storm will impact travel across the region. The snow will cause slick/icy spots on roadways and falling/blowing snow on Thursday morning will cause reduced visibilities. The Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes will both be impacted.

If traveling, plan for delays and consider alternate routes. Slow down and prepare for sudden reductions in visibility.
