🏈 We need a 4th/5th-grade flag football coach!

If your child is in 5th grade and wants to try football—or is already registered with us—they can play for FREE when you volunteer to coach!

No coaching experience? No problem! If you’re ready to support young athletes, encourage teamwork, and have fun this season, we’d love to hear from you.

Call our office Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please note that we will be closed on Monday for Labor Day.

🧀 September is Cheese Toast Month at Sizzler! 🧀

We are excited and incredibly grateful that Sizzler has chosen Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley as a recipient of this year’s Cheese Toast Month!

Throughout September, every Cheese Toast Patty Melt or Cheese Toast Malibu Melt purchased at Sizzler helps support the Club and 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting local youth! 💙

It’s a simple (and delicious!) way to give back. Enjoy a meal, celebrate Cheese Toast Month, and help create more opportunities for kids in our community.

🎒 School Starts August 31—Is Your Family Ready for After-School? 💙

As a new school year begins, the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley is here to support families during those important out-of-school hours with a safe, welcoming place where kids can learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun.

🏫 School-Year Club Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 2:30–6:30 PM
Wednesday: 1:30–6:30 PM

🚌 After-School Arrival Times
Middle & High School Youth: Arrive beginning at 2:30 PM
Elementary Youth: Arrive beginning at 3:30 PM

The Club serves youth in kindergarten through 12th grade, with programs and opportunities for every age and stage. Kindergarten membership is limited and subject to availability.

We believe every child should have access to the Club, which is why membership fees are based on a sliding scale according to household income, helping make membership accessible for families throughout our community.

What a great summer we had with you all! ☀️

Our Summer Camp was filled with creativity, discovery, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments! Campers conducted exciting experiments, explored new activities, built friendships, and made special memories each week.

During our final week of Summer Camp, Club kids designed their own glow-in-the-dark shirts, wore glow jewelry, and played an intense game of black light dodgeball. They also raced down the water slide and splished and splashed everywhere during an amazing Water Day! On the final day of camp, a couple of our Keystone Club members helped make the celebration even more special by serving popcorn to all the campers.

We are deeply thankful for all our community partners who joined us throughout the summer and helped make each week as special as the next. By sharing your time, talents, and knowledge, you gave our campers opportunities to learn, try new things, and create memories that will last far beyond summer.

A special thank-you to Thrive Umpqua for your continued support and for participating in numerous weeks of camp. Your commitment helped bring even more meaningful and exciting experiences to our Club kids, and we are so grateful for your partnership!

Please join us in congratulating our Board President, Stacey Crowe, on being named the Oregon Area Council’s 2025 Area Council Liaison of the Year! 🎉

Stacey received this recognition during a June 2026 gathering of Boys & Girls Club leaders from across Oregon and the Pacific Region.

Stacey’s leadership extends far beyond the boardroom. She generously gives her time to represent Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley on the Oregon Area Council, keeping our organization informed, connected, and aligned with the broader Boys & Girls Club movement. Following each Area Council meeting, Stacey thoughtfully shares key updates, best practices, and strategic opportunities that help strengthen our Club and the work we do for local youth.

Stacey is also a dedicated community leader. From her previous service as a Roseburg city councilor to her work organizing the beloved Downtown Neewollah Parade and supporting the Family Development Center alongside her husband, Gary, she continues to make a meaningful difference throughout our community.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to have Stacey leading our Board of Directors. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Stacey!

The Club and office will remain closed through Friday while our team completes staff training and facility deep cleaning. We will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31.

During the closure, we will not respond to emails or phone calls or process registrations, enrollment paperwork, membership updates, or other administrative requests. Online registrations may still be submitted and will be reviewed in the order received once our office reopens.

Please allow 3–5 business days for processing. All required forms, documentation, and payments must be submitted before enrollment can be approved. Submitting a registration does not guarantee immediate attendance.
The Club and office will also be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
