Douglas County Democrats "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world-Margaret Mead Welcome to Douglas County Democrats' page.

Our goals are: share news and events from the local party and candidates, share local news and issues, share national and world issues that effect us locally. Guidelines for our posts: keep it positive, no discussion of religion. Guidelines for your posts: please be respectful and constructive. If engaging in a discussion, avoid logical fallacies. Trolls will be banned immediately. Guidelines spec

ific to the 2016 presidential campaigns: we will not endorse any candidate until the national party does. We will try to share candidate posts as fairly as possible. This is very difficult so we decided only to repost if the candidate discusses their position on an issue or policy. Guest opinions: We encourage submitting pieces (like a letter to the editor) as a private message to the page. If the piece meets the page guidelines we are happy to share it. We encourage open discourse, so all points of view are welcome.
