Hey guys, Alli here. Since it is almost Thanksgiving, I want to help out others so we will be having a canned food drive starting on the 29th of October, and ending on the 18th of November. There will be crates, boxes and containers down by the Melrose little free library that you can put food into. We will only be accepting packaged foods which includes boxed and canned items. Please, keep in mind that the food that we get will be going to homeless children and adults so don't give us food that you wouldn't feed to your children or eat yourself. We will be giving the food to the shelters on the 19th of November, which is 3 days before Thanksgiving. 'Tis the season to be helpful right! Remember, stay positive, stay you!

Hi! Melrose Little free library is having a special event starting today (7/15/18) and ending a week from now (7/22/18). We will be showing our never seen before book collections! Come and take a look! we will have adult and children books available for taking. I am also beginning a book checker so I will be entering all the books in the little free library into a log and i will be able to see what books are taken more than others so I know what kind of genres that this community likes more than others so you have more of a better and personalized choice. Just because I am entering the books into a log, you DO NOT have to return then this is just so I can know what to put more in and what to stop putting in the little free library. During this event you can bring ANY kind of books you dont want so the rest of the community can borrow and read them. Happy summer break everyone!

Hi everyone sorry I haven't written in a while..... I have been sooooo busy with school and such. I have a new book I'm reading that is the best thing ever! It is called the Shakespeare stealer by Gary blackwood this is a good and awesome book for all ages I think! I'm happy to see people have been leaving books ant taking some!!!!! Remember, books are for everyone young and old girl and boy so keep reading!

hi everyone! The little free library is doing great! Since most of the books are adult books, I have put several books for kids down there. I hope everyone is having a good school year. Right at this moment I finished a book called doll bones. It is a book by holly black. I would recommend it very much. It is such a good book and is adventurous and a little scary...... Remember that you can simply take a book and return it when your done, or take a book and replace with another. We are focusing on expanding the children and tween selection... Stay tuned!

Hey, Alli here! Lots of books in the Little Free Library you might like. If you haven't read any of the 2016-17 "Battle of the Books" books than you should. I really enjoy them.You can find out what the titles are if you go to the Melrose Elementary web page online.

Hi everyone!!! Update on what I'm reading: the Oregon battle of the books books. You should read them. Their super cool like Joshua Dread by Lee Bacon and Small Steps The Year I Got Polio by Peg Keret.
