Douglas County Fire District No.2 Formed in 1952, Douglas County Fire District No.2 serves a predominantly urban and rural area of Douglas County in Southern Oregon.

The District service area includes the communities of Dixonville, Green, Melrose, Wi******er, Wilbur, Garden Valley, Umpqua and Calapooia; the City of Sutherlin; and unincorporated areas of the city of Roseburg. Board Of Directors

The District protects ov

er 37,000 citizens within 95 square miles Fire Service Area, and over 50,000 citizens within 2,600 square miles Ambulance Service Area. ISO Ratings

The Public Protection Classification awarded to the District by ISO is as follows:
• Class 4 for structures within 1000' of a hydrant.
• Class 8B for structures over 1000' of a hydrant, but within 5 road miles of a District fire station.
• Class 10 for structures over 5 road miles from a District fire station. Stations And Staffing

Eight fire stations and two ambulance stations are strategically located throughout the District, along with Headquarters, Training and Fleet Maintenance Facilities. Total Personnel: 137

Marking a new chapter on July 1st, we will transition to Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, combining the strengths of Douglas County Fire District No.2 and The Winston Dillard Fire District to optimally serve the communities of Winston-Dillard, Green, Wi******er, Dixonville, Garden Valley, and Melrose. We look forward to this merger and encourage residents of these areas to follow our new page for updates on community events, operations, and public notices. Our pledge to deliver exceptional service remains unwavering.
