Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸 Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have secured the freedoms we enjoy each day.

We are reminded that Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a time to reflect on those who never made it home, and to keep their memories alive through our gratitude and respect.

From all of us at the Wintergreen Police Department, we extend our deepest appreciation to our fallen heroes and their families. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

During National Police Week, the Wintergreen Police Department honors the life and service of Officer Mark Christopher Wagner II, known to many as “Chris.”

Officer Wagner served our community with integrity, dedication, and a deep commitment to the oath he took to protect and serve.

On June 16, 2023, Officer Wagner answered his final call, making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He now takes his place among the heroes who gave their lives in service to others.

Badge #15 will always hold a place in this department.

We remember Officer Wagner for his service, his sacrifice, and the lasting impact he made on this agency and the community he served. His legacy continues through those who carry on the mission each day.

We honor him. We remember him. We will never forget him.
