⚠️ Severe weather ramps up across Nebraska

Storm chances will increase late afternoon into the evening each day, with a more organized severe weather pattern setting up. Monday, storms could organize earlier in the afternoon hours.

👉 Saturday (Enhanced Risk – 3/5): Storms develop late day with large hail and damaging winds likely. A few storms could become strong across central and western Nebraska.

👉 Sunday (Enhanced Risk – 3/5): This is the day to watch. More widespread severe storms expected late afternoon into the evening, including:• Large hail• Damaging winds• ⚠️ Isolated tornado potential

👉 Monday: Storms shift east but remain possible during the afternoon and evening hours, especially across eastern Nebraska, before cooler air moves in from the west.

🌡️ Fuel for storms: Heat and humidity build with temps in the upper 80s to 90s.

📍 Not everyone gets storms, but anything that develops could become severe quickly. Stay weather aware and have alerts turned on.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect 12-9pm Monday for portions of south central Nebraska and north central Kansas. West-Southwest winds gusting 25-30mph combined with afternoon relative humidity values as low as 10-20% will result in critical fire weather conditions. Near-critical fire weather conditions are possible outside of the watch.
