It's going to be another hot and humid day! Stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, and consider shifting outdoor activities planned today.

Dangerous heat and humidity will continue through this evening. Peak heat indices are forecast to be in the 100-105F range once again, locally up to 110 south of I-80, which could result in heat related illness. Make sure to take precautions to stay cool!

Happy National Dog Day to our Search & Rescue K9 Ember! Ember is trained in both tracking missing persons and disaster search and rescue. She's got a strong work ethic, loves to play, and is a very good girl 🐾

Thank you for taking time to train your staff on what to do in case of fire, storm, or injury!

Today, our team welcomed the Village of Roselle Fire Marshal Mark Bozik for an internal Lunch & Learn focused on storm safety, fire safety, and basic first aid.

Mark walked us through practical information that can make a meaningful difference during an emergency, including:
🔥 How to properly use a fire extinguisher
🔥 How to check the gauge to confirm an extinguisher is still ready for use
🔥 The safest locations in our building during a fire or tornado
🔥 Why every household should choose a designated meeting place in case of a fire, such as the mailbox
🔥 When smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be replaced

Safety begins with preparation. We appreciated the opportunity to ask questions, learn together, and feel better equipped to respond both at work and at home.
