A strong community is built by people who choose to show up.

We’re incredibly grateful for the Fort Bend Junior Service League and the many ways their members support Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels. As one of FBJSL’s core placement organizations, their volunteers give their time, energy, and heart to helping seniors in our community.

Their support helps make more than a meal possible. It helps create connection, conversation, and the reassurance that someone cares.

Thank you, Fort Bend Junior Service League, for continuing to show up for our seniors and for investing in the community we all call home. ❤️

For more than 50 years, generous people in our community have made sure local seniors have a nutritious meal when they need one.

Because of donors like you, every meal we provide remains free to every senior we serve. Your generosity means an older neighbor never has to worry about whether they can afford the help they need.

For more than five decades, this community has stepped up for its seniors and every meal delivered is a reflection of that generosity.

Thank you for making every meal possible. Together we can deliver.

📢📢An Important Message from Our CEO📢📢

Every week, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels delivers 7 meals to older adults who depend on us. But continuing that commitment takes all of us stepping up.

Doug Simpson, our CEO, shares an important message about what it will take to make sure those meals continue reaching the seniors who count on them every week.

From donors and volunteers to community partners and advocates, every person who steps up helps us keep the wheels turning and the meals coming.

Seven meals a week can mean better nutrition, greater independence, and the comfort of knowing someone is there.

Together, we can make sure no senior is left without the meals and connection they deserve.

Thank you to the Houston Business Journal for spotlighting our CEO Doug Simpson and our organization's story.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of former Fort Bend County Judge Bob Hebert, who faithfully served as Interim CEO and a member of the Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels Board of Directors.

Judge Hebert was a champion for the community whose leadership knew no boundaries. During a pivotal time in our organization's history, he stepped forward to guide Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels through a major transition with wisdom, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the seniors we serve. His steady leadership helped ensure our mission continued uninterrupted during a time of change.

The Hebert family's commitment to our mission spans generations. His wife, Pat, served on our Board of Directors. His daughter, Patsey, continues that legacy as a valued member of our Board, and his daughter, Shelly, generously shared her expertise to strengthen our ability to serve local seniors.

We are deeply grateful for Judge Hebert's service, compassion, and lasting impact on our organization and the community. His legacy of servant leadership—and the Hebert family's enduring commitment to Fort Bend Seniors—will continue to inspire us for years to come.

Our heartfelt condolences are with Pat, Patsey, Shelly, the entire Hebert family, and all who had the privilege of knowing Judge Hebert. He will be greatly missed.

$132,415 RAISED FOR FORT BEND SENIORS! ❤️

This is what happens when a community comes together.

We recently gathered with donors, volunteers, board members, and supporters for a special check presentation celebrating the incredible impact of our Cinco de Mayo fundraiser with La Cocina Mexican Restaurant in Pecan Grove.

Together, our community raised $132,415 to support Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels and help local older adults stay nourished, connected, and independent.

A special thank you to Andres Novoa, owner of La Cocina, for giving this fundraiser a home and supporting our mission throughout its nearly two decade history. This kind of lasting partnership is what makes moments like this possible.
And we're not done yet.

The excitement is already building for the 20th Annual Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser in 2027!

If next year's event raises more than $126,000, this community fundraiser will surpass an incredible milestone:

MORE THAN $1 MILLION RAISED over its history to benefit Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels.

One restaurant. Countless donors, volunteers, partners, and neighbors. Nearly two decades of coming together for our seniors.

Let's make history in 2027. ❤️
