Lamar CISD is the 5th fastest growing school district in Texas. Over the last decade, Lamar CISD has added over 11,000 students and voters have approved three bond proposals. During that time, Lamar CISD has maintained a steady tax rate, with a decline in the total tax rate in each of the last two years.

Lamar CISD strategically manages the timing of bond sales and monitors property value growth to control the tax rate. Additionally, Lamar CISD was recently awarded the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 20th consecutive year.
