Good morning, Jackson Families!

We have an exciting opportunity for seven Jackson parents to join me at Lamar CISD’s annual Promise to Parents Brunch on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lamar CISD Career and Technical Education Center LGI Ballroom!

This year’s theme, “All In: Changing the GAME,” is all about coming together as a community and being ALL IN for our students. During the brunch, Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens will share important district updates, celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Lamar CISD, and give us a glimpse into what’s ahead for our district.

Since we have welcomed so many new families to Jackson this year, I would love to have some of our newer parents—and any other interested Jackson families—join me for this special event!

🌬️💨 Wind Power in Action! 🌬️💨

Our ECSE students had a blast exploring the exciting world of windmills! 🌪️🔧

They learned about how windmills work and how wind can be used to create movement and energy. Then, our little engineers put their learning into action by designing and creating their very own windmills! 🛠️✨

But the learning didn’t stop in the classroom! Our students headed outside to test their windmills and see if they could get them spinning. Watching their creations come to life was such a fun way to connect science, creativity, and hands-on learning! 💨❤️

Way to go, Jackson Jets! 🚀 You’re proving that learning is always more fun when you get to build, explore, and test your ideas! 🌟

🚗💦 APEX WINNERS GOT THE ULTIMATE CAR WASH! 💦🚗

Today’s Apex Leadership Co Nashville fundraising winners cashed in on their BIG prize—and Principal Smith was the one getting washed! 😂🙌

First, they made sure she was nice and DIRTY with plenty of chalk! 🎨😜 Then came the cleanup crew with water, bubbles, and soakers to get her sparkling clean! 🫧💦🔫

There were lots of laughs, lots of splashes, and definitely a few soggy smiles! 😂💦

A HUGE congratulations to our APEX fundraising winners for crushing their fundraising goals! 🏆🎉 You earned this unforgettable experience!

✨🧪 Learning + Fun = The Perfect Friday! 🎉

After a busy week, our 2nd graders wrapped things up with some hands-on learning and a little friendly competition! 💙🚀

Students explored the amazing world of liquids and discovered that liquids take the shape of their containers! 🥤💧 They also put their math skills to the test with an exciting game of Place Value Bingo! 🎯🔢

What a fun way to end the week while learning, exploring, and growing! Way to go, 2nd grade! 👏✨

🔬✨ Little Scientists at Work! ✨🔬
Today our ECSE kiddos got to explore science tools through a fun, hands-on experience! 🧪🔍 From observing and investigating to touching, trying, and discovering, our little learners were busy making sense of the world around them.
Hands-on learning = BIG learning! 💙
