All commuter passengers are required to wait at the designated pick-up/drop-off locations for their ride. This policy was adopted to prevent potential accidents or other safety concerns, such as:

⚠️ Passengers chasing buses
⚠️ Running across parking lot parking aisles and throughways
⚠️ Running in front of/behind or alongside buses while they are stationary and in motion

Our bus operators WILL NOT stop to pick up passengers who are not at the designated pick-up location at the scheduled time.

PUBLIC ADVISORY: The Fort Bend County Regional SWAT Team will be conducting a training exercise on Thursday, June 18th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Fort Bend County Epicenter, located at 28505 Southwest Fwy, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Residents and visitors in the area may notice an increased law enforcement presence, including Air Unit, emergency vehicles, and training-related activity throughout the exercise. This is only a planned training operation, and there is no threat to the public.

We appreciate the community’s understanding as our Regional SWAT Team continues to enhance its readiness and response capabilities to better serve and protect Fort Bend County.

🌡️ Cooling Centers Open Thursday, June 18 🌡️

With hot temperatures expected tomorrow, all Fort Bend County Libraries (excluding the Melton Law Library) will be open during their normal business hours and available as cooling centers for residents seeking relief from the heat.

Fort Bend Transit Launches Fan Express Service to FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Fest

SUGAR LAND, Texas – For just $4 each way, Fort Bend Transit (FBT) is giving soccer fans an easy, affordable way to experience the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Fest in Houston through its new FBT Fan Express service.

Avoid traffic, high parking fees, and expensive rideshare fees by hopping aboard the Fan Express and traveling directly from Fort Bend County to the heart of the Fan Fest experience.

The FBT Fan Express made its inaugural debut on Sunday, June 14, transporting more than 50 passengers to the Fan Fest for the match between Germany and Curaçao. The strong turnout demonstrates the community's enthusiasm for both the sporting event and the convenient transportation option now available through Fort Bend Transit.

The FBT Fan Express is a dedicated transportation service designed to connect residents and visitors from Fort Bend County directly to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Fan Fest and an option to connect via METRO rail to the stadium. The service is open to anyone interested in attending the Fan Fest, and no reservations are required.

Passengers can simply park at the AMC Theater First Colony Park & Ride, located at 3301 Town Centre Blvd. South, Sugar Land, TX 77479, and board any bus displaying "Fan Express" on its electronic destination sign.

"This serviceprovides our residents and visitors with a convenient, affordable, and stress-free way to participate in one of the world's largest sporting events," said Perri D'Armond, Transit Director for Fort Bend Transit. "We are thrilled with the response on our first day of service and look forward to connecting even more fans to the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Fest."

The remaining Fan Express service dates include:
•Saturday, June 20 at Noon – Netherlands vs. Sweden
•Friday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. – Cabo Verde vs. Saudi Arabia
•Saturday, July 4 at Noon – Round of 16 Match
