If you did not order a school supply kit, we strongly encourage you to bring your child's school supplies to Back to School Night. From Ms. Seiter:
Hi everyone! My name is Melissa Seiter, and I’ll be one of the Speech-Language Pathologists supporting Stoneridge this year! I’m excited to begin my 9th year as an SLP and my third year with RCSD. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children and adults ages 2–22 in both clinical and school settings throughout the Sacramento area.

One of my favorite parts of being an SLP is watching students grow in their communication skills and confidence. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.

From Miss Jones:

Hi! I'm Emily Jones, and I'm so excited to be joining the Stoneridge Elementary family and the 5th-grade team! I've been working in early childhood education for 15 years, about 10 years teaching preschool and the last 2 years in TK. When I'm not in the classroom, I'm usually reading a book, rewatching sitcoms like New Girl, Friends, Parks and Recreation, or The Office, or hanging out with my cat, Dolly. I'm a huge fan of music and theater (even though I have absolutely no musical talent of my own), so there's almost always music playing wherever I am, and I'm always on the hunt for new vinyl records to add to my collection. I love a good mix of cozy days at home and time spent outdoors, whether that's relaxing by the river or going for a walk or a hike. I can't wait to get to know everyone and make Stoneridge my new home!

I’m Deborah Ponzo, and I’m so excited to be at Stoneridge teaching 4th grade next year! I completed my student teaching at Stoneridge in 2007 and am thrilled to be back. I have experience in K-5th grades, and for the past 9 years, I have been the Intervention Teacher at Woodbridge Elementary School. I have a wonderful hubby, three children, one son-in-law, and two dogs. I enjoy the outdoors, music, travel, and like to have lots of fun when teaching my students. Oh, and did I mention that I am a Raiders fan? Can’t wait to meet you all. It’s going to be a fantastic year at Stoneridge.

Next up is Mrs. Garcia! We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Garcia to our Stoneridge family as she joins our 4th grade team this year. We know she’ll be a wonderful addition to the PACK, and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make on our students.

From Mrs. Garcia:

Hello! I am Katie Garcia, and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade at Stoneridge this year. I have a two-year-old named Mateo, and my husband, Rob, is a high school teacher. In my spare time, I am an avid reader who also loves the outdoors. This will be my tenth year of teaching, and I have taught 4 different grade levels. Some of my favorite things to do in the classroom involve hands-on learning and buddy-up time with other classes. Students learn so much from being a mentor to others, and I hope to be able to continue fostering that this year. I look forward to meeting all of the amazing families that make up Stoneridge and working with all of you!

It’s that exciting time of year when we get to introduce the amazing educators joining the Stoneridge family! 💙🐺

First up is Mrs. Davis, our new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher! She’ll be joining our incredible TK team alongside Mrs. Santos and Mrs. Nelson.

From Mrs. Davis:

Hi Timberwolves!
My name is Christie Davis, and I am so excited to teach TK here at Stoneridge! I spent the past year teaching TK at Orchard Ranch in West Roseville, and several years before that, teaching TK at private and charter schools. I love the little ones! I love teaching TK because they get to learn through play. They grow so much all the while having so much fun! And my favorite part is building sweet, loving relationships with my class.
Here's a little more about me: I am married to my amazing husband Zack (just celebrated 3 years)! In my free time, I love traveling, adventuring, exploring nature, photography, and board/card games.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
