🐾🏆 Huge congratulations to Roseville PD K9 Officer Mitch Christensen (K9 Cal) and Officer Zach Wiesner (K9 Rooster) on their outstanding performance at the United States Police Canine Association Region 18 PD1 Trials in Olmsted County!

Teaming up with City of Crystal PD K9 Ace and Hudson WI PD K9 Maverick and their handlers, the regional squad brought the heat and earned an impressive 2nd Place Team Finish, just behind a very strong St. Croix County team.

Individually, our Roseville teams delivered standout performances, highlighted by near-perfect scores in both Suspect Search and Bite Work; both high-pressure events that test skill, precision, and teamwork at the highest level.

And yes… putting Rooster and Maverick on the same team felt like something straight out of Top Gun: Maverick—fast, intense, and unforgettable. ✈️🐕🔥

We're proud of our Roseville PD K9 teams and the entire regional team for representing with professionalism and excellence. 👏🚔💙

It is with heavy hearts that we join law enforcement agencies across Minnesota in mourning the unexpected passing of Minnesota State Patrol Lieutenant Tyler Uthe.

Lt. Uthe dedicated his career to serving others and helping keep Minnesota communities safe. His loss is deeply felt throughout the law enforcement profession and by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

On behalf of the Roseville Police Department, we extend our sincere condolences to Lt. Uthe’s family, friends, and the women and men of the Minnesota State Patrol during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Lt. Uthe. Your service and dedication will not be forgotten. 💙🖤

What began as a normal school day quickly turned into a life-or-death emergency.

Back in March of this year, a group of Roseville Area Schools staff members, including School Resource Officer (SRO) Warsame, jumped into action when a student experienced a serious medical crisis. Working together, they remained calm under pressure, provided critical care, and did everything they could to help.

Roseville Fire Department personnel also arrived quickly and seamlessly joined the effort, providing additional lifesaving care and support during those critical moments.

Because of the teamwork, training, and willingness to act by everyone involved, a young life was saved.

Recently, those involved were recognized for their extraordinary efforts.

..after traffic stop leads to felony drug charges.

Last week, Roseville Officers stopped a vehicle and, through sharp investigative instincts, uncovered nearly 3 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, along with suspected fentanyl, co***ne, ma*****na, cash, multiple knives, several cell phones, someone else’s ID, and other drug-related evidence. Officers also recovered a stun gun from the vehicle.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Investigators learned the individual also has an extensive criminal history, including prior violent felony convictions and multiple serious pending drug cases in neighboring jurisdictions.

This case is another example of the proactive work our officers do every day to keep dangerous drugs and repeat offenders out of our community. 💙
