See what’s beneath the surface on 10/10!

For one morning, we’re opening the gates at a Roseville groundwater well that is normally closed to the public. Join us Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at 4030 Solaire Drive for a free, family-friendly open house. Explore the site, meet Roseville water professionals and learn how groundwater supports our water supply during dry conditions and how we can store water underground when surface supplies are plentiful. Kids activities and refreshments will be available.

RSVPs are encouraged, but curious drop-ins are welcome.

BACON! BACON! BACON! 🥓🥓🥓

We want bacon. You want bacon. Bacon grease down the drain? Straight to jail.

We’re begging you to let the grease cool, toss it in the trash and spare your pipes.

More bacon. Less cloggin’. Stay crispy.

Happy National Bacon Day.

Every now and then, you might pass a small utility building in your neighborhood and think, “What the heck is that?”

It may not look like much from the outside, but it could be one of Roseville’s groundwater wells, helping keep our water supply reliable when we need it most.

Using Aquifer Storage and Recovery, or ASR, we can store water underground when supplies are plentiful and bring it back up when conditions are dry. Think of it like a savings account for water, putting some away now so it’s there during droughts, peak summer demand or emergencies.

Collecting water samples in waders? Kinda chic.

Carrying coolers full of tiny bottles? Kinda chic.

Knowing exactly what is in our water because we tested, checked, documented, and tested again? Extremely chic.

Around here, water quality testing is more than lab coats and clipboards. It is science, public service, and a level of attention to detail that would make a fashion editor nervous.

Clean, reliable water never goes out of style. Learn more about Roseville water quality at roseville.ca.gov/waterquality.
