Woodbridge School is located in the city of Roseville, California. Woodbridge is unique among the schools in the Roseville City School District. Woodbridge is the only Kindergarten through fourth grade school within the district, providing a unique opportunity to focus all instruction and school activities around younger children. Originally opened in 1935, the campus is the oldest of the district
’s schools. Having undergone a 3.5 million dollar modernization in the summer of 2005, the school blends the historical exterior and interior hallway in the main building with the infrastructure of a modern school. Teachers work in grade level teams to provide optimal differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population. The Woodbridge staff welcomes all children and the message to our children is:
We’re glad you’re here! Teachers use direct instruction, hands-on activities, and modern technological resources to support a standards based curriculum and to differentiate instruction for student needs. The vision for Woodbridge School is the development of a learning community where students and staff work together to encourage responsibility, integrity and enthusiasm for learning. Classroom and school wide activities throughout the year focus on helping students to develop personal standards of behavior: Demonstrating Respect, Making Good Decisions, and Solving Problems. Parents play a very important role within Woodbridge School through active participation and involvement in School Site Council, PTC, and English Language Advisory Committees, as well as volunteering in classrooms. The Parent Teacher Club funds many projects including author visits, assemblies, and field trips throughout the school year. The After School Program funded through ASES (Proposition 49: After School Education and Safety) provides extended learning and enrichment opportunities for students from the end of the regular school day through 6:15 Monday through Friday.
