We had a fun dinner meeting tonight. Our student speaker winner, Iyanna Earls, attended our meeting to receive a $700 check from our club to help pay expenses to attend the State Final Student Speaker Contest. 2VDG Ed Smith presented the check which was money donated by people who attended our last Bingo Night. We are so proud of her and wish her much success and happiness.

Our newest Lion, Toni Boudreault, was inducted by PDG Andy Anderson. Lion Dusty is her sponsor and she’ll have fun showing Toni the joy of being Lion.

Lastly the FPVI eyeglass storage container arrived at our Lions Club today thanks to Lion Dusty and 1VDG Gene Kypke.

It was a great day to be a Roseville Host Lion! Spent the day at the Lions Special Kids Day, providing a bounce house, cotton candy and axe throw game. Serving families with a special needs kid(s). Funds we raise go directly back into our community for these types of events.

Roseville Host Student Speaker Contest winner Iyanna Earls won the Area 1 Contest today. She received an additional scholarship of $6,500 and advances to the state finals on June 13 in Anaheim and will compete for an additional $10,000 scholarship.

We are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her the best of success.

Iyanna will be graduating from Woodcreek High School soon and will be attending Sac State in the Fall.
